The objective of the development of NIE Educational software packages is to improve the learning teaching process of the schools in Sri Lanka. These software packages help teachers in their teaching career. Similarly, students can learn by themselves.
These software packages do not cover the content of the entire curriculum. Each software package has been designed to tackle a particular area which is difficult to be taught or learnt.
There are nearly 1500 schools in Sri Lanka with computer laboratories. Hence the CAL Software Development Project, NIE, invites principals, teachers and students of Sri Lanka to help by providing suggestions for the new software on G.C.E. A/L subjects. Your valuable suggestions are most welcome.
